Full-time staff
Remember Me Land is a private shelter, built in 2015 with one clear goal: to replace and close down the death-pound of Pașcani, Romania, where so many dogs had lost their lives.
In December 2015, we finished our first row of kennels and signed a contract with the Pașcani town hall: Remember Me Land officially became the town's new pound. The old death-pound shut its doors.
The shelter has kept growing ever since. Now recognised by the Romanian authorities, it permanently houses around 437 dogs and has made the rescue of thousands of others possible.

« Every dog at Pascani has a story. The street. The rescue. The shelter. And soon, their forever home. »
The Remember Me Land team
Every day, shelter staff ensure daily enrichment for the dogs: walks, play, socialization with other animals and volunteers. The goal is to prepare each dog for life with a family.
Every day starts with the roll call: who slept well? Who is limping? Who looks unwell? Then come the treatments: dressings, injections, observations. At 10 a.m., it is time for play and socialization. At noon, a meal. Afternoon: enrichment (games, walks, training). Evening: grooming and the evening meal. At night, the watchful rest of our teams.

Where dogs arrive at the shelter after being rescued from the streets. Behavioral assessment and initial health screening done in this area.

Dogs live in spacious kennels with access to water, shade, and enrichment. Groups separated by temperament and compatibility.

Care is provided by Apistopvet, Dr Lucian Radu's clinic right next to the shelter: emergency care, vaccinations, sterilizations and treatments.

Where dogs learn to interact with humans and other dogs. Behavioral coaching to prepare for adoption.

Remember Me Land spans 2 hectares: 52 kennels, a heated puppy house for winter, Dr Lucian's partner veterinary clinic right next door, the caretakers' housing and a large exercise park.
At first, there was nothing. Everything was built, year after year, by the association and its supporters: the road, the foundations, the fences, the kennels, the well, the clinic. It is this patient work, rooted in time, that makes it possible today to take in and rescue dogs, for the long run.
