01In Romania, hundreds of thousands of dogs roam the streets, including nearly 60,000 in Bucharest at the height of the crisis. Hunted, beaten, euthanized by authorities. In October 2014, we said enough. In 2015, we built Remember Me Land, our private shelter in Pascani: 52 kennels, a veterinary clinic, a quarantine zone, a 2-hectare park with large exercise areas.
02A professional transporter drives our dogs in a specially equipped truck, with bedding changed and bowls filled at every border. The journey is long and exhausting. In France, 7 pickup points: from Sarrebourg (57) to Robion (84), through the Paris region. When they arrive, someone is waiting.
03Repatriation day is intense. The dog discovers a home, a couch, a hand that pets without hurting. Adaptation takes time: weeks, sometimes months. Our team and partner dog trainers remain available. You are never alone.
« When I caught Tsipia's gaze in a photo, it did not leave me indifferent. This paralysed dog, who had been hit by a car and seemed so sad, looked as if he expected nothing more from life… After weeks of thought and discussions… »
